Consultation has concluded.
The Bonbeach Life Saving Club facility was completed in November 2021.
The new building incorporates outdoor showers for the public and includes sustainability features such as rain water tanks, solar panels, glazing to achieve maximum sunlight (reducing the need to have lights on), heat-pump water heating system and water efficient fittings.
A new Bonbeach Life Saving Club facility is set to be built thanks to a partnership between Kingston Council ($2.5million) and the Victorian Government ($2million).
A new state-of-the-art facility will be built to ensure the club can continue to provide this vital community service to the tens of thousands of visitors who visit Bonbeach beach each summer.
The club has served the community for more than 85 years and replacing the current aged building will ensure the club’s future for decades to come.
Council will work closely with the Bonbeach Life Saving Club on the redevelopment. The initial concept plans have been developed to align with the Life Saving Facility of the Future Development Guidelines.
