The City of Kingston wants to deliver a library service where our community can be connected to information, knowledge, resources, creativity and each other.
Council is undertaking a Library Strategy via a collaborative engagement process that involves the local community, including library users and non-library users, and internal stakeholders.
The process includes both broad and deliberative engagement. The broad engagement phase will seek to include a wide range of perspectives through engagement with people from all walks of life. Every Kingston ratepayer and library staff member will have an opportunity to get involved and have their say.
The deliberative engagement phase aims to involve and collaborate with a representative sample of the wider community by convening a panel to provide input to help inform a new strategy. The new strategy will provide a strategic and integrated framework for the ongoing provision of relevant, contemporary library service and facilities that meet the needs of the Kingston community.
