Arts and Cultural Strategy 2018-22

Arts and culture play a significant role in the City of Kingston, bringing people together, encouraging learning, creating fun and providing new opportunities for employment.

People see, participate and engage in arts and cultural activities in different ways and forms, including the performing arts, visual arts, film, literary arts and festivals. Arts and cultural goods are produced by the community and professionals, and are something we create or experience alone, with family or friends, at home and in public.

Council is keen to hear about your views and ideas relating to arts and culture in Kingston so we can effectively plan to meet your needs.

We would like to hear from you if you:

  • are artistic, a performer or an active supporter who enjoys the arts
  • currently have or would like to connect with Council’s Kingston Arts venues, festivals or arts spaces
  • would like to explore and experience something new or creative.

Your ideas will inform Kingston's Arts and Cultural Strategy 2018-22, which sets the direction and priorities for arts and culture in our City for the next four years.

Complete the survey and enter the prize draw for a chance to win two full price tickets to any Kingston Arts Small Gem Theatre Production of your choice, valued at up to $100.
