We are joining with our community to call for Better Buses for Kingston.
While some parts of Kingston are well-served by train lines, large sections of Kingston rely on buses as the only form of accessible public transport.
There are currently a number of problems with bus services in Kingston including:
- Gaps in the service area
- Poor frequency of service, particularly on weekends
- Poor infrastructure
- Overcrowding on popular routes
- Lack of connection to trains.
Kingston plans to lodge a submission with the Victorian Government in September 2025 presenting key priorities for service improvements.
Based on community feedback, benchmarking and data analysis, we have identified some key issues - but we are keen to check in with the community.
Do you agree with the identified priorities?
Are there other ideas for improvement you'd like to suggest?
Key priority:
Route 828: Hampton to Berwick

(via Southland – Mentone – Mordialloc – Aspendale Gardens – Chelsea Heights – Carrum)
