Council is reaching out to young people, parents and carers and those that work with young people, to help us to shape our direction and priorities for youth service delivery.
Did you know almost 15% of people living in Kingston are aged 12 to 25? and this number is growing! So we are updating our Youth Strategy for 2019-2022. and we want to know your thoughts, experiences and ideas as the parent or carers of a young person in Kingston. We will use this feedback to input to ensure our strategy meets the needs of Kingston's youth.
The strategy focuses on how we can help young people to do well in life, at work, at home, and while studying:
What is going well for young people?
What challenges are young people facing?
Looking to the future, what youth programs, services, activities or opportunities could be put in place so our young people can thrive?
For further information on what Kingston Youth Services currently offers please visit: www.kingstonyouth.org.au
What will happen with your information?
The survey is anonymous and your input will be kept confidential. You will not be identified in any reports and your privacy will be protected. A third party consultant will review the key findings and draw on the themes from what parents are informing Council as well as what young people and those that work with young people are telling us. Following a review of the data our consultant will formulate some high level themes that will be presented to the Youth Team for a response.
