Consultation has concluded
Today, Council has several tools and templates that guide it in how to approach and implement community engagement.
In recent years Council has also introduced this online engagement platform to help us better capture the thoughts and feedback from our community.
In line with best practice and to provide the community with greater transparency on how we use community feedback in our decision-making, we have drafted a Community Engagement Policy.
The Community Engagement Policy outlines our commitment to provide the community with genuine opportunities to contribute to and inform projects, strategies, services and decisions that affect them.
The intent of this policy is to provide clarity about how Council will fulfill its commitment to engaging with the community.
We would love to hear your thoughts on the draft Policy; we promise its not too boring - only seven and half pages – including a cover page.
Have your say: Read the draft in the document library on the right-hand side of this page and leave your feedback below.

Hi Please share with management: "When you try to please everybody, you please nobody."
Look not in short term gains, but at long term growth. Albeit things change quickly which distort current planning for long term, but ultimately we need to ask ourselves are we working for the interests of the few or the greater good of the many?
