Consultation has concluded

We are pleased to advise that Council is continuing its investment in women’s sport at Dales Park with planning for a new pavilion now underway.

Council is also investing in a new playground for the park.

Pavilion upgrade

The Dales Park Development Plan, developed in 2013 following community consultation, included provision for a new expanded pavilion to respond to the increasing participation in netball in the region. (Read the full Development Plan in the document library)

The proposed pavilion will complement the court surface and car parking improvement works that were undertaken earlier this year.

Following consultation with the netball association and clubs, Council is proposing to build a two-storey pavilion in a central location (slightly north of the existing pavilion) to overlook the courts.

Draft plans for the pavilion also include:

  • training court
  • improved public toilet facilities

A draft plan for the pavilion – including the location and layout – is included in the document library.

Community information session on the proposed pavilion:

Council is holding an information session to keep the community informed about the project.
