Final design

Council recently wrote to residents nearby Elder Street South Reserve to request input on the concept plan for the upcoming redevelopment of the reserve.

Your input helped us to develop the final concept plan, which can be viewed here.

Majority support for the proposed local traffic measures will see the existing footpath upgraded and new pedestrian crossing, flat top speed humps and speed cushions installed as part of the project as well.

Your feedback will also help inform Council's new Playground Strategy and Development Plan.

A second traditional playground in the local area is anticipated to complement the nature play-focused playspace that will be created at Elder Street South Reserve.

While an off-leash dog park has not been factored into the final design at Elder Street South Reserve, following community requests, Council will also be assessing the location of an off-leash dog park in Clarinda.
