In accordance with the Local Government Act, councils must comply with special arrangements in the lead up to council elections, which is also called the 'caretaker period'.

We can't take actions or make decisions that could influence voters or have a major impact on the new Council. Caretaker runs from noon on Tuesday 17 September to 6pm on Saturday 26 October. During this time there will be no new consultations. Consideration and outcomes from recent consultations may also be delayed for a few months.
