The City of Kingston is seeking your feedback on its draft Family and Children's Strategy 2020-24.
Incorporating the Municipal Early Years Plan, the Strategy is a local plan for the development and coordination of education and care, health services, activities and other local developments for children aged 0-12 and their families.
The Family and Children's Strategy will operate for the next four years and a new Action Plan will be developed and reviewed annually to strengthen our capacity to respond to emerging trends and changes to State and Commonwealth policy direction.
The draft Action Plan objectives are:
Respond to changing community needs and government policy directions;
Position our most vulnerable children and families at the heart of our service delivery; and
Continuously improve our systems, processes and staff capability.
The City of Kingston has a strong and proud history in the provision of Family and Children’s Services and working with the community to ensure the provision of quality services and environments for children to play, learn and grow in so they have the best possible start in life.
We would love to hear your thoughts on the draft Family and Children's Strategy and Action Plan. To provide your feedback you are invited to attend a pop-up information session or please complete our short survey.
