An update on Kingston's Gambling Policy


Following two rounds of community engagement in 2024 and 2025, as well as consultation on the draft policy, Kingston’s Gambling Policy 2026-2030 was adopted by Council at the 22 June Council meeting.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on this important document which outline’s the City of Kingston’s approach to gambling and will guide Council's decision-making to help prevent and reduce gambling harm in the community.

We're renewing Kingston's Gambling Policy, and we'd like to hear from you.

This consultation aims to gather community attitudes on gambling harm and inform Kingston's Gambling Policy 2024-2028. Your feedback will help us identify and articulate our current position on gambling, allowing us to continue our advocacy work in this space.

We recognise that gambling can have significant health, social, and economic impacts on individuals, families, and communities at harmful levels. The policy will guide Council in its decision-making to prevent and reduce the harm from gambling within the City of Kingston.

We encourage you to read our current policy and browse the documents on this page to learn more about gambling harm in our municipality.
