We're proposing to install lighting at Glyn Court/Chelsea Street Reserve to improve safety and visibility at the site - and we'd like to hear your thoughts!
Following recent requests for lighting from the local community, we're proposing to install five solar-powered lights along the popular pedestrian pathway within the reserve. This is part of our ongoing commitment to improving our open spaces in Kingston.
Project details
The solar light bollards will be powered by a RESS (Rechargeable Energy Storage System) strategically located near the Chelsea Street entrance to the reserve to capture maximum sunlight.
As the reserve is surrounded by residential housing and in line with Kingston's Public Lighting Policy, the light will be directed to shine onto the pathway without disturbing nearby homes.
