As part of our commitment to providing quality parks and open spaces for the community, we're planning to upgrade the off-leash dog park at Kingston Heath Reserve in Cheltenham.

Project update - February 2024

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the proposed upgrades to the off-leash dog park at Kingston Heath Reserve in Cheltenham.

Your input helped shape the final concept plan, which is now available for viewing on the project page and includes:

  • Improved drainage
  • New benches and logs
  • Tree planting for shade

Following concerns from the community, several amendments were made when revising the design:

  • Removed enclosed permitter fence and gated entrance
  • Existing bin and dispenser will remain in current location

Construction

Upgrade works at the off-leash dog park are due to commence in April 2024 and will take approximately four weeks to complete, weather permitting.

  • Double gated entrance
  • New shelter, benches and picnic tables
  • Logs and nature play
