Consultation has concluded.
May 27 2025 Update: Kingston Kingston has joined with the community to raise serious concerns about the proposed plans for the redevelopment of the former Kingswood Golf Course in Dingley Village.
More than 1,400 community members lodged submissions with the Victorian Government on the draft development plan for the site, with most highlighting worries about the scale and potential impacts on the local area.
Kingston Mayor Georgina Oxley said Council shared the community’s concerns and was urging the Victorian Government to require further work on the plan to address community feedback before any final decisions are made.
Key issues raised included:
loss of trees and open space
small lot sizes and housing density
increased traffic and road congestion
flooding risks
infrastructure constraints – including local schools and access to public transport.
Hard copies of the plans can also be viewed at Dingley Village Library

What is Council's role? Council is not responsible for planning this project or its delivery, however we are:
promoting the Victorian Government’s consultation on the plans to ensure our community is well-informed
sending a flyer to all homes and businesses in Dingley Village to make sure the community is aware of the opportunity to have your say
has written to the Victorian Planning Minister requesting genuine engagement with the community and adequate time to properly assess the plans and provide feedback.
reviewing the plans and will make a submission to the Victorian Government on key issues.
What happens next? The Victorian Government will consider all feedback received during the consultation period before determining any final plans for the site.
