Tree removal application - former Kingswood golf course site (November 2021)

The property owners of the former Kingston Golf Course site (197-217 Centre Dandenong Road, Dingley Village) have applied to Council to remove 16 trees from the site.

The trees are protected under local law and a permit is required for removal.

Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal prior to determining the application.

Which trees are the owners seeking permission to remove?

An application has been lodged with Council seeking permission to remove:

  • 5 x Monterey Cypress (exotic)
  • 1 x Cypress (exotic)
  • 1 x Sugar Gum (native planted)
  • 1 x Brittle Gum (native planted)
  • 1 x Smooth Barked Apple Myrtle (native planted)
  • 5 x Giant Honey Myrtle (native planted)
  • 1 x Black Wattle (native deceased)
  • 1 x Monterey Pine (exotic)

An arborist assessment of each tree (including its species, age, height & width, health and more) is also provided in the Document Library.

How will the community feedback be used?

All feedback should be provided before Friday 3 December 2021. This feedback will be presented to Councillors prior to determining the application.
