The property owners of the former Peninsula Kingswood Golf Course site (197-217 Centre Dandenong Road, Dingley Village) have applied to Council to remove a further 65 trees from the site.

The trees are protected under local law and a permit is required for removal.

Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal prior to determining the application.

Please note: This is a separate process to the planning permit to allow 932 homes at the site which was recently granted by the Victorian Government. You can read more about this decision and Council's disappointment via our media statement.

Which trees are the owners seeking permission to remove?

An application has been lodged with Council seeking permission to remove:

  • 12 x Acacia implexa - Lightwood

  • 9 x Eucalyptus botryoides - Southern Mahogany
  • 5 x Eucalyptus sp - Gum Tree
  • 3 x Hesperocyparis macrocarpa - Monterey
