Mentone Reserve Pavilion

We've developed a concept design for a new state-of-the art pavilion at Mentone Reserve.

Council has been working closely with local sporting clubs, the St Bedes/Mentone Tigers Amateur Football Club, Mentone Cricket Club, Mentone Clovers Netball Club and Mentone Mustangs Basketball Club to develop plans for the new facilities and restoration of the ageing GH Soppett Pavilion at Mentone Reserve.

The new facilities are proposed to include:

  • increased space and number of change rooms to support female participation
  • additional public toilets
  • increased social room space
  • larger undercover spectator area and first-floor viewing deck
  • increased lobby and foyer areas
  • office and meeting areas.

The anticipated cost for the works is $6.8m, which will be funded through contributions from Council, the clubs and a grant of $1.5m from the Victorian Government.

We're now seeking your feedback on the concept design.

Council is holding a community drop-in information session at Mentone Reserve so you can find out more about the planned pavilion improvements.

Venue: Mentone Reserve (at the main pavilion)
Date: Thursday 23 November 2017
Time: Anytime between 5.00pm – 7.30pm

Please return your comments and feedback to Council before Friday 1 December 2017.
