As part of Council's commitment to improve its open spaces, we've prepared a draft concept plan for park and playground upgrades at Keeley Park in Clayton South.

The draft concept plan falls within the parameters of the Keeley Park Masterplan, which was developed collaboratively with the community in 2013 and adopted by Council to guide future improvements to the park. Consultation ended on Tuesday 21 February 2017.

In late 2016, Council sought feedback from the community on a proposed dog off-lead area at Spring Road Reserve in Dingley.

We received 346 responses from local Kingston and surrounding residents. Overall feedback reflects support for an off-lead area within the reserve, with a need for considerations for the safety of park users and potential fencing.

Council invited feedback on the proposed Mentone Hotel development during an extended six-week exhibition period from 3 November to 15 December.

Due to strong community interest, Council lengthened the exhibition period from the required one calendar month and wrote to residents living near the hotel and members of the community who registered an interest with Council to inform them of the exhibition period.

In mid-2016 Council undertook a survey to determine what Council news you want to hear about and how we can best deliver that information to you.

In August 2016, Council sought feedback on the Proposed Community (Amendment) Local Law No. 1, following a review in recognition of the dynamic nature of regulating individual, business, building and other activities within the City of Kingston.
