Consultation has concluded
Council is implementing changes from a recent review of the Kingston Planning Scheme and is seeking your feedback on the proposed changes. This review aims to clean up the large document to make it easier to use, and includes:
removing out-dated content and policies
new wording to make it easier to understand
reordering the content for a more logical flow.
It does not implement any new policies or plans.
Exhibition of Amendment C132 is open for public comment until Thursday 6 April 2017.
The Amendment proposes to replace Clause 21 - Municipal Strategic Statement (MSS) of the Kingston planning Scheme with a new format MSS.
The amendment also makes minor changes to Clause 22 of the Local Planning Policy Framework in line with part of the recommendations of the Kingston Planning Scheme Review 2012 as well as a number of other minor administrative changes.
A report considering any submissions received will subsequently be brought back to Council for consideration following the completion of the exhibition process.
