Consultation has concluded
City of Kingston Arts Grant recipients Georgia Rouette (curator) and Bailer (artist) are proposing to create a vibrant and lively painting on the Pompei Bridge underpass.
The underpass, located in busy Mordialloc and main thoroughfare for pedestrians and cyclists, has become a hot spot for tagging. This project will not only help to reduce the ongoing tagging, but also create a colourful space in this otherwise dark path.
Two ideas have been presented for the community to provide feedback on. They express similar themes of movement, tides, the sea, sun, sand and sunset. Abstraction through the use of lines and colours express diverse responses from viewers and these paintings aim to encourage contemplation.
Have your say
You are encouraged to take a close look at the two images and decide for yourself what they might mean to you, and select the one you prefer by voting below. Voting ends Wednesday 6 December 2017.
