Consultation has concluded
We've developed a draft masterplan for improvements to Regents Park in Aspendale.
Council’s priority is to provide improved facilities for sporting groups at the park. Key features of the draft masterplan include two new outdoor netball courts, a new location for the memorial garden, improved female-friendly pavilion facilities, upgraded tennis facilities and improvements to the oval facilities.
The two new outdoor netball courts will help meet growing demand in the increasingly popular sport. The courts will be used to host junior netball training (four nights a week during winter) and for competition games on approximately 11 occasions per year. The netball court floodlighting will be designed to a standard for training and minimise light spill into surrounding properties. Training times will be similar to the current football activities at the Park, with floodlighting switched off by 9.30pm.
We're now seeking your feedback on the draft masterplan.
Have your say
Council is holding a community drop-in information session at Regents Park so you can find out more about the planned improvements.
Venue: Regents Park (at the main pavilion) Date: Tuesday 21 November 2017 Time: Anytime between 5pm – 7.30pm (please drop in to the session at a time which suits you best)
Please return your comments and feedback to Council before Friday 1 December 2017.
