Consultation has concluded
As part of Council's commitment to improve its open spaces, we are rolling-out major improvement works at Roy Dore Reserve. The $9 million program is supported by the Victorian Government through the Local Parks Program.
With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and the recent completion of the new sports pavilion and upgrade of sports lighting, we are excited to see local clubs take to the field and courts again at Roy Dore Reserve.
A new fenced dog park was officially unveiled in February. The new park is fully fenced and features a nature play activity area for pets to explore.
Netball and Tennis facilities
Works to construct two outdoor netball courts with sports lighting and tennis court upgrades, including four synthetic sand filled courts and two hard courts, have commenced.
The works are planned to occur over a six-month program and cost approximately $1.5 million.
The Long Beach Tennis Club and Council have worked closely to develop a fit-for-purpose floorplan for the renewal of the tennis pavilion. The new pavilion will include change facilities, community room, toilets and storage facilities. It will remain in the same location.
