Council's Stage 1 Consultation (August 2021)

What do we want your feedback on?

We are currently seeking community feedback on design elements to be explored for the Cheltenham SRL precinct. We have some ideas about elements that should be considered by State Government and we'd like to know what you think. This includes how the areas surrounding the station will look and feel. You can view some of our ideas in the Document Library.

This particular piece of work will help guide Council’s position on the design outcomes that we advocate for at the Cheltenham SRL Station precinct.

What will we do with your feedback?

Your feedback will be used to help inform Council’s 'Design Advocacy Document' that will form part of our formal submission to the Victorian Government’s Environmental Effects Statement (EES) process. The EES is a process run by the Victorian Government that enables a detailed assessment of the potential environmental impacts or effects of a proposal. It includes consideration of effects on amenity, social wellbeing, business and economic wellbeing and impacts to the physical environment.

Our submission will detail all the things we’d like to see to ensure the success of the precincts for years to come.
