The state government is inviting the community to provide feedback to shape the Mentone Activity Centre.

Housing is one of the biggest challenges we face in Victoria. By 2051, metropolitan Melbourne will need around 1.8 million new homes. Everyone should have the opportunity to live in a well-designed home in a place they can thrive.

That’s why the Victorian Government is planning for more homes in and around 60 train and tram zone activity centres across Melbourne, including Mentone.

Much loved for its family-oriented atmosphere and picturesque beaches, Mentone has evolved into a coastal residential area attracting families, professionals and retirees.

The suburb’s commuter railway station on the seaside Frankston line, Mentone Station, connects to the vibrant local shopping precinct, bus interchange and nearby schools.

The station connects to a new 3.5 kilometre walking and cycling path between Mentone and Cheltenham that makes it easy for people to safely enjoy the local area.

The Victorian Government want to hear local views on how to improve access to housing, while enhancing the things that make these areas great places to live.
