We're excited to be planning for the upgraded outdoor gym at Bicentennial Park, Chelsea!

Project background

Bicentennial Park is a much-loved and widely used community asset. It is home to a huge adventure playground, skate park, soccer and basketball goals, shelters, BBQs, toilets walking trails, a fitness track and two outdoor gym areas. We're planning to upgrade the fenced outdoor gym located to the west of the existing play space, and we'd like to hear from you!

Project details

Our aim is to provide an accessible and inclusive space for a wide range of users with new contemporary outdoor gym equipment. To ensure our plans meet the needs of the local community, we want to know how we can improve the outdoor gym. What types of equipment would you like to see in this space? Proposed options include (example images in the menu):

  • Cardio
  • Upper body strength
  • Lower body strength
  • Abdominal and back strength
  • Body flexibility
  • Arm and leg mobility
  • Stretching
  • Functional exercise space (for BYO fitness equipment)

Your feedback will help inform the plans for the upgrade.
