The Commonwealth Golf Club has applied to Council to remove 92 trees from the site as part of planned restorations works to improve the playing experience, align the course more closely with the original design and enhance the landscape with new indigenous vegetation plantings.

The trees are protected under local law and a permit is required for removal.

Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal prior to determining the application.
