Kingston is a resilient, inclusive and diverse community. We are committed to building the most liveable and sustainable city in Victoria.

From 2021 to 2041, the population of Kingston is forecast to increase by 36,278 people (22.74%), reaching 195,819 people.

To respond to the changing needs of the community, Kingston City Council is looking to develop a Community Infrastructure Framework, which identifies community needs for facilities and services, now and into the future.

Community infrastructure is the fabric of our community. They are places that unite our community members, where friendships are made and residents can access important programs and services.

The 5 community infrastructure categories at Kingston are:

Arts and culture venues (performance facilities)

Community venues (community halls, neighbourhood houses, men's sheds, community gardens, gathering places)

Community education and learning facilities (libraries and toy library)

Family, youth and children's facilities (maternal and child health centres, kindergartens, child care, playgroup, youth spaces)

Aquatic, leisure and recreation facilities (aquatic and leisure facilities, sailing clubs, lifesaving clubs, scout and guide halls, sporting pavilions)

We would love to hear about your experiences using our current community infrastructure and how you would like to be using it in the future.

Your feedback will help shape how we plan, deliver, operate and maintain community infrastructure into the future.
