Consultation has concluded

**This consultation has now closed.**

Council is producing a masterplan for Heatherton Park, a rehabilitated landfill site, shown below, which is set to become a beautiful new open space for the community to enjoy. The plan will consider an overall vision for the reserve, the development of which will be staged over the next few years.

Have your say

We need your input to help draft the plan, to ensure it meets community needs. At this point in our consultation with the community, we’d like to hear from you on your broad aspirations for the reserve. You will have further opportunities for input as the plan is developed.

Background information 

Please note, as the site is a former landfill site which has been capped, there are limitations on what can be installed on site and where facilities can be located.

There are also restrictions on where tree planting can take place as care needs to be taken to not interfere with the capping. Council is, however, keen to increase tree planting and biodiversity values within the site, so every effort will be made to increase planting and tree canopy cover in appropriate places.
