At Parkdale and Edithvale Family & Children’s Centres, we are experiencing increased demand for longer day kindergarten and a reduced demand for our sessional kindergarten program.

At Carrum Family & Children’s Centre, we are experiencing increased demand for long day kindergarten and a strong continuing demand for sessional kindergarten.

Parkdale and Edithvale Family & Children’s Centres:

• Increasing the number of long day kindergarten places available by 19;
• No longer offering sessional kindergarten.

Carrum Family & Children’s Centre:

• Increasing the number of 3YO sessional kindergarten places available by 8;
• Increasing the number of 4YO sessional kindergarten places available by 14;
• Increasing the number of long day kindergarten places available by 15;

• Reducing the number of long day care places available by 15.

Our modelling indicates that nearby local kindergartens offering sessional services are likely to have places available for families affected by the proposed changes.
