Consultation has concluded

We've developed a draft Pavilion Policy and Design Guidelines to help us plan for and manage future sporting pavilion developments, and we'd like to hear your thoughts.

Project background

Council's sporting reserve pavilions support well over 20,000 junior and senior members from over 100 clubs across various sports and broader community members, interest groups and volunteers. They're also increasingly supporting activities such as social events, community radio enterprises, senior cultural groups, community fitness programs, disability programs and youth development programs.

By the end of 2024, Council will have upgraded 35% of the 54 sporting pavilions over the past six years. Given the considerable investment and increased usage demand (particularly female participation), it is timely to implement a framework for managing future sporting reserve pavilion developments.

Draft Pavilion Assessment & Prioritisation Policy

The Draft Pavilion Assessment & Prioritisation Policy aims to provide an assessment matrix, priority list, and project proposal to determine Council’s future sporting reserve pavilion development priorities.

The Draft Pavilion Assessment & Prioritisation Policy can be found in the Document Library.

Draft Sporting Reserve Pavilion Design Guidelines

The Draft Sporting Reserve Design Guidelines aim to provide consistent principles and standards to guide the planning, design, and development of sporting reserve pavilions. They offer technical references to influence the proposed scope, scale, and fit and finish of pavilion developments while responding to user needs.

The Draft Pavilion Design Guidelines can be found in the Document Library.
