As part of Council’s commitment to providing quality parks and open spaces for the whole community, we are upgrading the enclosed off-leash dog park at Snowdon Reserve (0.3ha) in Cheltenham.

The draft concept plan for the reserve aims to provide an inviting dog park for pets and their owners to visit and play, with improved open space and facilities.

The plan can be viewed in the Document Library on the right-hand side of this page.

The design features include:

  • new front boundary fence
  • improved surfacing (concrete path, granitic surface and turf area)
  • large run-about area with a separate area for small dogs
  • new dog agility playing equipment
  • 'nature play' dog activity areas, including digging sand pits, dry/planting creek, spiral rock mound and logs
  • drink fountains, benches, accessible picnic set and shelter
  • new tree plantings for biodiversity and shade
  • dog waste dispensers, bins and signage.
