An eye opener and lengthy but worthy read that I found researching ways and how carbon credit purchasing & selling works. In preparation to make wiser decisions I did some research to share.

Interesting idea @Stephen! I will run this past the team - and you're welcome to raise that tomorrow night.

I raised a suggestion at the last CEG session with one of the Council Officers, and was asked to post it here - which I've neglected to do until now.
In a similar manner to how VicRoads run the "Adopt-a-Highway" program, I wondered if we might be able to ease some of the financial burden on Council if any local community groups wanted to "Adopt-a-Park". This may not apply to all play spaces, but some communities may feel especially proud and protective of their local playground, and so they may wish to get involved by mowing lawns, weeding or other minor maintenance, thereby freeing up Council resources for other parks or projects.

Hi Terry, yes, it's in the document library here - titled 'Getting to Know Council - Notes from 31 May CEG session'.

At the last meeting members of Council and Kingston managers attended and as they passed from group to group we generated questions on their boards. I remember they were placed on the wall. Am I mistaken in thinking those notes would be transcribed and made available to the group and can we expect feedback on the items raised. Terry

Oh good question Kirsten! Apologies I thought that this would allow you to share them on here. I'll get onto this today and will let you (and the CEG) know.

Thanks :) Natasha

Helloooo,
I am wondering if the photos that I took of the park that I went to and this was mentioned at our last meeting to take, have a place to be sent to? Or, is there a person in Kingston Council who is interested in photos of parks? Maybe a group generated this idea and wants them? I have completed the 'play your way' survey and realise the photos are not for this. Graffiti was disturbing, got a photo of this too.
