Tree removal - former Kingswood Golf Course site (January 2023)

The property owners of the former Kingston Golf Course site (197-217 Centre Dandenong Road, Dingley Village) have applied to Council to remove 10 trees from the site (under 8 applications).

The trees are protected under local law and a permit is required for removal.

Council is seeking community feedback on the proposal prior to determining the application.

Which trees are the owners seeking permission to remove?

An application has been lodged with Council seeking permission to remove:

• 4 x Hesperocyparis macrocarpa - Monterey Cypress (exotic)
• 3 x Melaleuca armillaris - Bracelet Honey Myrtle (native planted)
• 1 x Angophora costata - Smooth Barked Apple (Victorian native)
• 1 x Eucalyptus mannifera - Brittle Gum (Victorian native)
• 1 x Cypress (exotic)

How will the community feedback be used?

All feedback should be provided before 12 February 2023. This feedback will be presented to Councillors prior to determining the application.
