Have your say about our libraries in Kingston

Welcome to our libraries survey for 2025.

We are again looking for your feedback to improve our services, programs, and resources. Whether you’re a frequent visitor or haven’t been in years, your insights are valuable.

We know that everyone is unique and your understanding and experiences with our libraries may differ. We'd love to hear more about that.

Share what you know, what you love, what could be improved upon, and what you see for our future, to help us to continue providing a contemporary library service that meets your needs and the needs of our community.

Your feedback at work

We were absolutely thrilled with the response last year, with your feedback providing us some great direction for our programming. Some of the things we have or are implementing are:

  • Expanding extended access hours at Dingley and Patterson Lakes
  • Increasing volunteering opportunities
  • Increasing our adult programming
  • Additional introduction sessions to the digitisation station, 3D printing, and podcasting
  • Increasing our e-audiobook collection (up 10% in 2024/25)
  • Increasing our book collection (added 33,348 over the 2024/25 year)

Our libraries

Across our eight locations, our libraries offer a diverse and inclusive range of collections, programs and services including books, DVDs, magazines and audiobooks, a Library of Things, use of computers and Wi-Fi, children’s programs such as Storytime, a Home Library Service, tech help and training, talks and events, support with family history and heritage information, craft and activities, and access to a huge range of e-resources such as Ancestry, Borrowbox and LinkedIn Learning, via our website.
