We're strengthening our recognition of Australia Day, with a renewed focus on community connection, local pride and celebrating what brings Australians together.
Following community consultation with more than 600 people, Council has endorsed a range of initiatives to support this renewed approach.
Together, these initiatives celebrate Kingston’s diverse community, recognise local people and achievements, and create more opportunities for our community to come together on Australia Day.

As part of this renewed approach, our Many stories. One community. campaign celebrates the people, stories and connections that make Kingston a great place to call home.
We want to hear what makes you feel connected to Kingston and proud of our community. It could be your neighbourhood, culture, a favourite local place, a family tradition, a community group or simply the people around you.
