We’re revitalising the Parkdale shopping strip and need your help!
Kingston is home to many vibrant local shopping precincts, which bring people together, offering connections with traders and a strong sense of local identity - including Parkdale.
The new Parkdale station and elevated rail has transformed how locals use and move around Parkdale.
We’re planning improvements to the shopping strip - things like new greenery, refreshed footpaths, street furniture, outdoor dining opportunities and safer, more welcoming spaces.
Now we need your ideas to help shape the design.
What makes Parkdale special?
What would make it even better for locals, traders and visitors?
We’re currently in the early planning stages and would love to hear your thoughts, to help develop our concept plans.
Project scope
The project covers the area shown below.
What will we do with your feedback?
Your feedback will be used to help shape our draft plan for the revitalisation works. You'll have the chance to have your say on our draft plan before it's finalised, to make sure we get it right! We anticipate sharing the draft concept plan with the community in 2026, with construction starting in 2027.
