Kingston City Council is dedicated to placing our customers first, at the very centre of all we do.
The Local Government Act 2020 requires Councils to develop a Complaints Policy that outlines the process for complaint handling. The Act defines a complaint where dissatisfaction occurs with our service, actions, decisions, and policies. Complaints give us important feedback and information to identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance our customer’s experience.
Our existing Complaints Resolution Policy was reviewed in 2024. Council worked closely with the Victorian Ombudsman and consulted their Good Practice Guide when redeveloping the Policy. The revised policy was endorsed in principle by Councillors on the 6 May 2024, pending any community feedback. We now invite your feedback.
