Road coating temperature testing beginning soon

August 2022 update

The light-coloured road sealant on Cheltenham’s Kembla Street has been in place for a few months now and feedback from local businesses on the street has been positive; with reports that the surface has held up well against the regular truck traffic through the street, and the lighter colour has not changed the driving or walking experience.

As the weather begins to warm up over the next few months, Council officers will be out to test the temperature of the surface, comparing it with the traditional dark asphalt colour on the other parts of the road.
