Have your say on Kingston’s Australia Day activities
We are asking the community how you would like Council to support Australia Day events in our community.
Your feedback will guide Council’s planning, helping us make decisions about activities, level of investment, and options for support. Your input will be considered alongside key factors including available resourcing and time constraints for the 2027 Australia Day celebrations.
How does Kingston currently recognise Australia Day?
Council holds a very special Australia Day citizenship ceremony to welcome hundreds of new Australian citizens featuring performances, flag raising, welcome to country and more.
We sponsor the annual fireworks display at The Mordialloc Carnival, held at Peter Scullin Reserve
Local beaches and parks are popular for a day of gathering with friends & family, along with the traditional backyard bbq
Have your say
We’re keen to hear how you spend Australia Day, plus how you’d like Kingston Council and/or local community groups to mark the day.
You can provide feedback:
online via the survey below
by mail: PO Box 1000, Mentone VIC 3194
Feedback closes 5pm Monday 27 April.
