A healthy city

What: Kingston is active and growing. We are asking for funding support to build our accessible and sustainable aquatics centre and upgrade multiple parks and sporting facilities to serve the current and future needs of our growing community.

Why it matters: We need to keep our community moving in a way that meets their needs and supports their health. We also need to make sure everyone has the space and facilities they need to participate in sports and recreation.

A vibrant city

What: We are asking the Victorian government to match our $5 million commitment to redevelop Kingston City Hall into a flexible and large scale music, arts and civic events centre like we've never seen this side of the city.

Why it matters: There is no venue of this kind in the South to serve our community. Economic modelling shows us that the flow-on effect of this project would help kickstart pandemic recovery for the arts, hospitality and construction sectors.

Moving our city

What: Major changes to how our community travels are happening in our city. We want to ensure our transport and roads meet the needs of our city well into the future so we are advocating for more community input in design and greater support for much needed upgrades and maintenance of our roads. We'd also like to see the Frankston line level crossing free.

Why it matters: We are advocating to deliver better transport and connectivity and improved roads in our city so you can get where you need to go faster. We are also working to influence the designs of major projects that will shape our city such as the Suburban Rail Loop and Level Crossing Removals Project.

Our Waterways and Climate

What: We are working hard to combat the specific impacts of climate change in the South East, including future-proofing our beautiful waterways for recreation and environmental preservation.

Why it matters: We need to make smart changes now for Kingston and our region's future if we are going to help reduce our emissions and support a long and sustainable life for our rivers and creeks.
