Stories from our community

Sneha Mehta
previous next
Sneha Mehta has spent the last 19 years raising her family in Kingston, making memories with her kids. Whether it’s lazy days at Waves Leisure Centre, exploring local parks and the markets or enjoying the buzz of community events like the Christmas Carols, Kingston has been the perfect playground for family fun. But what’s happened recently has been the most profound for Sneha’s time living in Kingston. The moment her Jain community got approval for their temple, “We all had tears in our eyes—it was a dream come true.” The temple will be a symbol of Kingston’s inclusivity and a place for everyone in the community to give thanks. Sneha loves Kingston and the way it embraces diversity. For her, it’s a place where families can thrive, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
