Warren Duncan
previous next
Warren Duncan has called Dingley Village home for 36 years, and his connection to Kingston is rich with history. Arriving in the area in the early days with his family in their old Holden, he discovered a place brimming with country charm, ”surrounded by vegetable gardens” and a close-knit community. Warren fondly remembers the Dingley Market as a hub for local produce and crafts. He also notes the historical significance of Dingley landmarks—from the local cannery that supported Melbourne’s troops in WWI (Cannery Row’s namesake!) to the beautiful 19th-century church that still stands proud. How lucky we are! While he notes the changes over the years, including the shift from vegetable gardens to modern developments, Warren remains optimistic. “Things are changing, but the essence of a great suburb remains,” he says.
